Come play on our Bays
de Noc, located in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, on the shores of Lake Michigan.
The Bays de Noc boast 211 miles of varied shoreline complete with beautiful
white sand beaches...the most of any county in the continental U. S. A. With an
almost non-existent crime rate, Delta County and the Bays de Noc are the perfect
vacation destinations for all travelers.
Home to sparkling
streams, bays and lakes of clean blue
water, green forests, woodland trails, abundant wildlife, soaring limestone
cliffs, rolling farm country, historic sites, ghost towns, fine dining,
challenging golf courses, and accommodations to fit any taste or budget. We
proudly boast the most coast, the largest downtown,
a
State Fair, and the gateway to the Hiawatha National Forest. Centrally located
in the heart of Michigan's Upper Peninsula we are the natural stop for travelers
to or from Mackinac Island, St. Ignace, and Marquette. If you are traveling Lake
Michigan by boat to or from Green Bay, Door County, or Sturgeon Bay Wisconsin
our marinas are ready to welcome you! |
The
coastal cities of Escanaba, Gladstone, Rapid River, Garden and
Nahma all offer you access to our pristine waters where you can
enjoy beaches, a lazy waterfall that invites you to cool your feet
on a hot summer day, light houses, museums, and some of the finest
fishing on Lake Michigan or any of the Great Lakes. Whether open
water or ice fishing for walleye, small mouth bass, salmon, perch, pike or any
of the other fish that call our waters home we are sure you will
have great stories to tell about your fishing adventure. Trophy
sized fish are not the only thing lurking in the Bays de Noc. Over
30 sunken ships have made our clear waters their final resting
place. Scuba divers and kayakers have long enjoyed exploring these
mysterious treasures.
