Labatt Blue UP Pond Hockey Championship

Annual Events
Location: Moran Bay, Lake Huron, St Ignace
Join us in 2018 as we celebrate the 12th anniversary of the Labatt Blue UP Pond Hockey Championship in St. Ignace, Michigan. St. Ignace is located in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, home of one of the largest pond hockey tournaments in North America, and the largest tournament in Michigan. The Labatt Blue UP Pond Hockey Championship will be played on Moran Bay, part of beautiful Lake Huron, one of the only locations where our 'pond' is actually one of the Great Lakes! In 2015 we had 200 teams, from 11 states, play over 320 games! We have several age and skill divisions, so your team can compete against others of the same skill level. Format of the games is: 4 on 4 hockey with NO GOALIES on thirty 75 'x 150' outside rinks with snow bank boards played on the 'wild ice' of Moran Bay in Lake Huron. Teams are guaranteed three games, and division winners will receive Labatt's sportsgear and a hardwood championship cup.
