Location: UP State Fairgrounds, Escanaba
From its humble beginnings in 1975, our annual Labor Day show has grown into one of the best events in the region. Exhibitors come from near and far, bringing an ever-changing display of tractors, gas engines and vintage farm equipment. The Heritage Village provides a charming old-fashioned backdrop for a variety of traditional handicrafts from local artisans. Be sure to see our working sawmill and stop by the Agricultural Museum to browse an eclectic collection of antiques and artifacts. There is also a large flea market, as well as a knife and gun expo. And if you’re hungry, there is plenty of good food on the grounds. While we hope that you enjoy our show, our purpose is not simply to entertain you. As part of our efforts to preserve our past heritage, we strive to educate current generations about the machinery our forefathers used.

Mackinac Island Halloween (Samhain) Weekend

Annual Events
Location: Mackinac Island

In the celtic world, Samhain marks the end of summer and the beginning of the new year or winter and a time to commemorate the souls of the blessed dead. With the rise of Christianity, it was changed to Halloween and remains a joyous time of family reunion. Here on Mackinac, we celebrate both traditions. Have fun with the kids Trick or Treating downtown, Haunts of Mackinac Tour and then gear up for some great grown up Halloween parties at the downtown pubs.
The Island shops work hard to clear out their inventory with great discounts and sales. Be sure to browse on Main Street, Market Street and at the shops at Grand Hotel. This makes a perfect weekend to skip out on Black Friday and get a head start on holiday shopping.

Labatt Blue UP Pond Hockey Championship

Annual Events
Location: Moran Bay, Lake Huron, St Ignace
Join us in 2016 as we celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Labatt Blue UP Pond Hockey Championship in St. Ignace, Michigan. St. Ignace is located in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, home of one of the largest pond hockey tournaments in North America, and the largest tournament in Michigan.

The Labatt Blue UP Pond Hockey Championship will be played on Moran Bay, part of beautiful Lake Huron, one of the only locations where our 'pond' is actually one of the Great Lakes!

In 2015 we had 200 teams, from 11 states, play over 320 games! We have several age and skill divisions, so your team can compete against others of the same skill level.

Format of the games is: 4 on 4 hockey with NO GOALIES on thirty 75 'x 150' outside rinks with snow bank boards played on the 'wild ice' of Moran Bay in Lake Huron.

Teams are guaranteed three games, and division winners will receive Labatt's sportsgear and a hardwood championship cup.
