Set amidst the forested ravines of the Marquette Iron Range, the Michigan Iron Industry Museum overlooks the Carp River and the site of the first iron forge in the Lake Superior region. From geologic origins through the 20th century, the museum tells the story of Michigan's three iron ranges and the people who worked them, through museum exhibits, audio-visual programs and outdoor interpretive trails. The museum is one of eleven nationally accredited museums administered by the Michigan History Center.

Open daily 9:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., May 1st-October 31st.

Admission is free; donations are welcome. For more information, including winter hours, contact: Michigan Iron Industry Museum.
