Fall Color Report
October 22, 2025
The fall color report is updated every Wednesday throughout the fall color season.
The timing of fall colors in Michigan's Upper Peninsula (U.P.) is predictable but varies slightly each year. Generally, the leaf show begins in mid to late September and peaks the first three weeks of October. However, the color change progresses differently across the region. Fall color changes from west to east, and first from the interior of the U.P. and then out toward the Great Lakes.
Please note that fall color may slow or change rapidly based on current weather conditions.
